7:00pm
Even though you were assigned this paper a week ago, you finally decide to go to the library and start your paper that’s due tomorrow. You promise yourself that it won’t be hard to do in one night—you plan that you’ll be 100% focused, and that it will only take you 2 hours.
8:00pm
First things first: you check your Facebook.
9:00pm
Facebook leads to various other websites…and before you know it everything seems to be distracting you.
10:00pm
Right when you close out of the internet, you happen run into everyone that you know on the first floor of the library.
10:30pm
You suddenly realize what time it is. You regret getting so distracted, but you reassure yourself that it’s not too late—you can do this.
11:00pm
You’ve worked so hard for an extended period of time! You take a step back to see what progress you’ve made.
12:00am
Although you’re finally getting somewhere, you cannot finish this beast without the help of some coffee.
1:00am
…So you may have had a little too much coffee.
1:30am
You start to get hungry so you venture out for some snacks. You justify this by telling yourself that the junk food will get you through this.
2:00am
You’ve crashed from your caffeine high and working so late at night is starting to hit you hard—especially when you feel like you still have so much left to do.
2:15am
Typing while drowsy has gotten you nowhere; you decide to take a nap in the library. You start to hope that no one will notice, but then you realize that you don’t care.
2:30am
After a successful power nap, you wake up feeling more determined than ever to finish this paper.
3:30am
You finally finished it! You hope your professor won’t judge you for sending in your paper at 3:30am.
4:00am
You head home for some much-needed beauty rest, hoping you’ll wake up for that 10am class.
Congratulations, you’ve survived! That is, until you start the next paper…
