This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Emory chapter.

She dances, sings, loves Diet Coke, and is looking for some people to go sky diving with. If you ask this Theta President, psychology major and pre-med student where she’s from, she’ll say Boston, but keep reading to find out where you’ll go if you ask her out on a date!

Her Campus Emory (HCE): Tell us something interesting about yourself.
Lauren (L): I tap danced for 11 years. Maybe that’s more on the weird side than the interesting? Whatever, tap is awesome. I’m also super flexible, like touch my nose to my knees sort of flexible. Thanks Mom and Dad for gymnastics class!

HCE: What is the best thing about Emory?
L: The best thing about Emory is the new Coca-Cola machine in Cox. I’ve never been more excited to feed my Diet Coke obsession. Cherry Vanilla DC? YES PLEASE.

HCE: If you could be anything in the world, what would it be?
L: If I could be anything in the world I would be…This is a hard one! I’m pretty good with where I’m at right now, I think my ultimate goal, as corny as it sounds, is to be doing a job that makes me happy so that I don’t even feel like I’m doing work.

HCE: What is one thing you have to do before you graduate?
L: Sky Diving. Anyone want to come with?

HCE: If you were to perform in a talent show, what would you do?
L: If I were in a talent show, I would probably sing. I used to take voice lessons and sing in a choir, and I loved it! I also have a weirdly extensive knowledge of song lyrics……

HCE: Describe your perfect date.
L: Hmmm…date? Do boys at Emory even know that word?! But in all seriousness, I think a great date would be doing a new thing, like discovering a new part of Atlanta or taking a cooking class or going on a fun adventure. Sit-down dinners can feel like interviews, and doing something together shows you way more about another person than getting a meal ever could.

Jessica lives her life at several speeds. She talks too fast, eats too slow and over-analyzes too much.  When she’s not telling long-winded stories, sitting alone at the dinner table, or staring off into space, Jessica loves all things creative. Screenwriter, play director and poet at age 9, songwriter and choreographer at age 16, now, at 23, all she really wants to do is write, help others, and post Instagrams.  As a social media coordinator for multiple fashion brands, and a post-grad writer for Her Campus, she gets to do just that. Jessica is a Midwestern girl from the suburbs of Chicago, but she fell in love with city living during a summer internship in the Big Apple, and now calls NYC home. Jessica loves chocolate milkshakes, dance parties, Chippewa Ranch Camp, Friends re-runs, Chuck Bass and of course, spending time with her fans (read: family and friends).
