Finals are creeping their way into our mists, and summer is within our grasp. Summer comes with laying by the pool, going to the beach with friends, possibly returning to camp or starting a new internship- no matter what, it’s bound to be a great few months!

No matter what you’re doing this summer or where you are, it is bound to be hot. A great way to keep cool and look totally cute and fashionable is the midriff top: a personable favorite of mine. Seriously, my closet is filled with them. There are multiple types of midriff tops; ones that show just enough skin, definitely appropriate for day time, and ones that are sexy enough to wear out at night! Here are a few to browse for some inspiration to add to your wardrobe:

Urban Outfitters- The Fifth Starstruck Long sleeve Top in Blush

This long sleeve blush top is perfect for summer. The material is light and airy, so you won’t be too hot at night in a long sleeve. The color may wash out paler skin types, so I recommend this for more olive toned girls, but if it looks good on you, it’s definitely a must for a night out!

Nordstorm- Dirty Ballerina Short Sleeve Crop Top

This short sleeve yellow top is more on the casual side, which works well for the daytime. You can wear it to the beach, to the mall, to a date, really anywhere! It’s not as tight as other crop tops, so it’s also good for people who want more room to move.

Urban Outfitters- Sparkle & Fade Cross Hem Crop Top

This top is also super casual but super cute! You can just throw it on with whatever you’re wearing, but I would say it’s even more daring because it shows even more tummy than the other shirts. Make sure you feel really comfortable before putting this one on because you don’t want to have to go the whole day fixing yourself. But, if you can rock it, then you can look super edgy and cool like the model does in this top.

Bloomingdales- J.O.A. Top- Mesh Crop

I love the color of this top! I think would look great both with the matching skirt or with a black bottom, even a white one! It’s definitely more on the fancier side, so you can wear it on a night out, or maybe just to a fancier dinner.

Bloomingdales- Bardot Top Lace Crop

I saved my favorite for last; I absolutely love this top! First, black is my favorite color. Second, the lace detail is so beautiful and classy; it would look good on anyone! Also, I love that it is a spaghetti strap because I really think it adds to the elegance of the top. I think everyone should have this in the wardrobe.
