Why is it that studying seems so much easier if you do it while eating a snack? While studying, I always find myself craving something to munch on, and more often than not, it’s for something unhealthy. Chewy candy and potato chips are delicious but there has to a better choice. It’s more than okay to indulge in your favorite junk-food snacks once in a while. Let’s be real: who could live without chocolate? But with finals on the horizon, here are a few snacks that are delicious, nutritious, and perfect for studying!

1.     SkinnyPop Popcorn

This is one of my personal favorites. Not only do I love SkinnyPop because it has “no artificial anything” but because it is seriously tasty. Try it in Original or Ultra Lite White Cheddar.  SkinnyPop boasts that “guilt-free snacking never tasted this delicious” – and they’re right!

2.     Orville Redenbacher’s Smart Pop, 100 Calorie Mini Bag

If you prefer the more traditional kind of movie theatre popcorn, try this! It is the healthier version of your favorite movie theatre popcorn and comes in the mini size, which is the perfect portion! It’s the perfect substitute for your favorite bag of chips.

3.     Almonds

Nuts are the perfect snack for the library or when you need a quick pick me up.  They are full of heart-healthy fats and proteins, which will keep you full and satisfy your cravings!

4.     Veggies and Hummus

What could be more delicious than fresh veggies?  Try dipping them into hummus for a tasty protein-full snack. Carrots and orange and yellow peppers are my ultimate favorite veggies to dip. Find your favorite!

5.      Fruit Salad

If you’re craving something sweet, try fruit salad. On sale at both Peete’s and Cox, it’s a naturally sweet alternative to your favorite candy!

6.     Instant Oatmeal

Instant oatmeal is simple to make and will keep you full for hours. Oatmeal is so much more than just a breakfast food – it could be your go-to study snack!

7.     Greek Yogurt

Greek Yogurt is a meal within itself.  It’s packed with protein and will hold you over for any late night studying.  Try Chobani or Fage and see which one you prefer! Try adding granola if you want a little extra to munch on.

8.     Granola Bar

Try a Kind Bar or any other type of granola bar when you’re in the mood to munch. Kind Bars are made with all-natural whole nuts, fruits, and whole grains. They’re packed with essential nutrients like fiber, protein, and antioxidants that are good for your body!
