My Fav Five for Spring!
I know it’s hard to believe with the biting wind and predictions of a “snowpacalyse” that we’ve dealt with lately, but spring is on its way! So it’s time to start putting together a fabulous, trendy, spring wardrobe. There are some great trends this spring that are easy to pull off for the college coed looking to be in-style and out of the poorhouse.
This spring, neutral colors dominate the trends. With neutral colors, you can go crazy with accessories and make-up. You can do super dark, smoky eyes and a dark lip without looking scary and gothic. You can wear fun, crazy jewelry without your outfit running the risk of becoming too busy. Basically you’re a blank canvas and you can go wild!
I love the nude colored dress from American Apparel!
Another great trend is turquoise. This is my favorite color and I think it looks great on everyone… so I am so excited about this one. T-shirts, shorts, dresses, everything looks fantastic in turquoise. That said, my favorite is turquoise jewelry. Chunky, turquoise pieces brighten up outfits that were once plain and boring. 344 had the cutest turquoise bracelets and rings. Here's a picture of me in Guatemala where I got my favorite turquoise necklace!
The print for spring is floral.
As a worshiper of Lilly Pulitzer, I could not be happier about this. If you’re not into the preppy pink and green, don’t panic! Urban Outfitters has great pieces that a floral print but with a provocative cut so you can be pretty, but sexy.My roommate tried on this fabulous dress with a thin, brown belt. Adorable!
I love the boyfriend blazer trend and it's not over yet! The chic, oversized black blazer became a staple for the winter wardrobe. Worn with jeans or a dress, it made any outfit instantly classier and more stylish. Well, for spring it's all about the white or cream colored blazer! Spring is when you get to wear pretty, bright colors—a black blazer would totally clash— so throw on a cream blazer and you're all set!

If you’re living in Boston and in this crazy New England weather, rainboots are crucial. Who says keeping your feet dry and looking like a five year old have to go hand in hand? I’m sorry girls but the boots with animals on them were cute in preschool, not college. Hunter boots are super cute and perfect for trudging around the wet city. For spring, they made a new boot call “The Regent.” Equestrian-inspired, it’s slimmer and more flattering than their previous boot styles. I can’t wait to get them in black!
I hope you're as excited for spring fashion as I am!
