Your Guide to the Starbucks Menu this Fall

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Emerson chapter.

We’re all college students here, so we understand how important coffee is. Though I wasn’t much of a coffee drinker upon arriving at Emerson, I’ve found a second home in the bustling, indie music playing, deliciously smelling, cake pop selling sanctuary known as Starbucks. Even if you’re not a fan of coffee, Starbucks has something for you (I mean, have you tried their strawberry smoothies?). This week I taste-tested a few fall-themed menu items to get in the autumn mood.

Pumpkin Spice Latte
If I had to describe this with one phrase, I’d call it “Autumn in a Cup.” This hot, cinnamon-y treat will warm you right up as the weather starts cooling down. It’s Starbucks’ signature espresso blended with your typical fall spices like cinnamon, clove, and nutmeg. Yum. Just yum.

Starbucks Petites: Apple Pie

Delicious and cute? Could it get any better? I must admit, I have a major sweet tooth, so Starbucks’ mini pies have always been tempting to me. These mini treats (they also have cherry pie, cake pops, and whoopie pies) are the perfect bite to go along with a warm drink. The pies are a nice balance of sweet and tart and will leave you in the mood to go apple picking or jump into a nice pile of leaves.

Pumpkin Bread
Feeling especially pumpkin-loving today? Pair your Pumpkin Spice Latte with a thick slice of pumpkin bread. It’s a treat you can grab on your way to an 8am class, or just for an afternoon snack. Just like the latte, this fall-themed treat is especially sweet and just the right amount of spicy.
