The Pros and Cons of Going Home at the End of the Semester

A few finals, a quick room inspection, and some emotional goodbyes are all that stand between you and freedom. If you’re going back home for the summer, you’re sure to experience both positives and negatives. Here are the exciting pros and unfortunate cons of going home at the end of the semester.

Pro: No longer being confined to a dorm room

Con: Having to pack up all your stuff

Pro: Sleeping in your own bed again

Con: Leaving your friends

Pro: Not having people bother you while you’re trying to focus on something

Con: No longer having a roommate to talk to before bed

Pro: Not having to pay for laundry

Con: Having to obey your parents’ rules again

Pro: Home cooked meals

Con: Not being able to go to the Max for Ben and Jerry’s at 1 am

Pro: Tons of free time

Con: Tons of free time

Pro: Not having to endure the Boston weather

Con: Living anywhere other than Boston
