The 5 Classroom Mannerisms That Get On Everyone’s NervesBy March 11, 2013 - 10:34am Picture this: you’re sitting in class, the professor is droning on and on and you’re just starting to doze off, letting your daydreams take over when you hear it. It’s the slightest noise, barely noticeable. But then you hear it again, and again, and before you know it you’re sitting on the edge of your seat cringing because—seriously? Spring Break Style Part 1By March 6, 2013 - 3:49pm Spring Break is the turning point in the semester. We're nearly done with school, we get to hang out with old high school friends, we can go wherever or do whatever we want--there's only one problem. Every year I pack a huge bag of transitional winter to spring clothes hoping the weather will warm up, the only thing is I leave the house for only a few hours a day. With the majority of my friends abroad this semester and the other half still at school (because of course Emerson's Spring Break needs to be in the winter, not spring), I have found myself catching up on my favorite T.V. shows, reading, and planning for the summer. That in mind it's easy for me to stay in pajamas all day (like I am right now--don't judge).... |

Making Your Own Thin MintsBy March 6, 2013 - 2:00pm ‘Tis the season – no, not that season. It’s officially Girl Scout Cookie season. Chances are, you’re at least familiar – if not extremely well acquainted – with the cookies sold by the Girl Scouts of America. For many, it’s the highlight of the year. For a college student, though, $4 for a box can be a stretch, which is why, for many years, I have been making my own versions of the classics you know and love. READ MORE |

Why It's Great to Be Single in CollegeBy March 1, 2013 - 10:05am Normally when people say they love being single, we’re hesitant to believe them. But I’m going to tell you right now, I’m not at all upset about being single. In fact, I love it! And no, I’m not some kind of fiercely independent lone wolf; I don’t see myself staying single forever and actually hate being by myself for more than a few hours. But right now, while I’m in the middle of my college career, I have no interest in being in a relationship. READ MORE |
