Arguably, there’s nothing more frustrating than running on an empty stomach late at night, with nowhere to get your french fry fix. Whether you just spent the night out or are up for a late-night study sesh, your hunger often strikes at unfortunate hours. Luckily, there are tons of hidden gems around Boston serving snacks till the wee hours of the morning – here are our faves!

1. Insomnia Cookies

There’s nothing better than rewarding yourself with a chewy chocolate chunk cookie after a long night of essay-writing. With the help of Insomnia Cookies, you can do just that! Insomnia is a rapidly expanding late-night bakery that delivers fresh cookies right to your door (as long as you’re in delivery reach) until 3am. Order online and have them sent straight to your door!

2. My Inbound Pizza & Restaurant

Located off the Harvard Ave stop on the B line, Inbound is a great stop after a long night out. Open till midnight during the week and 2am on the weekend, Inbound serves all the delicious, greasy food you can name. Pizza? Check. Burgers? Of course. Mozzarella sticks? Duh. Not to mention, they deliver until 3am on Fridays and Saturdays!

3. Bova’s Bakery

While Mike’s Pastry is great and all, it’s no Bova’s. Not only is Mike’s often tourist-infested, but it also closes at an early 10pm. Bova’s, on the other hand, is an adorable family-owned bakery serving every Italian dessert under the sun – and it’s open 24 hours a day. Finding yourself in the North end late at night? Stop by for a cannoli!

4. Uni Sashimi Bar

Sushi craving setting in at an inconvenient time? Have no fear, beacause Uni Sashimi Bar is here! Uni is the top spot for all your sushi, sashimi and ramen needs – not to mention they just expanded their menu to include tacos, rice bowls, and scallion pancakes. This intimate Back Bay restaurant is open seven days a week, with a special late-night menu available from 11pm-2am on Fridays and Saturdays to curb your cravings!

5. South Street Diner

South Street is great for those late Saturday nights when you’re suddenly craving pancakes and a milkshake – or any other random combo. Diner food is perfect for late nights, and you can get your fix about 10 minutes from Emerson! South Street Diner serves great burgers, shakes, breakfast, and more – and it’s open 24 hours a day!

6. Parish Café

Craving classy café food at 1am? The Parish Café is here for you! With locations in the Back Bay and the South End, Parish Café has tons to offer – sandwiches, salads, apps, entrees, etc.  Low cost and open till 2am? Can it get any better?

7. Dumpling Café

Dumpling Café, located in Chinatown, is most definitely an Emerson favorite. When you’re craving Chinese food late at night, take the short walk over and have what your heart desires. They even offer not-so-typical menu items like pork intestine and frog – in addition to the delicious dumplings, of course.

Next time you’re craving a midnight snack, head to one of these late-night locations!
