As most of you collegiettes know, studying for finals can be a difficult task. When you’re cramming for a big exam, rereading your notes over and over again just doesn’t cut it as a helpful study technique. Between flashcards, your finals schedule and writing papers, sometimes it’s all just too much to handle! That’s why we’ve come up with this list of seven apps to help you survive finals week. Consider this list your saving grace as you’re sobbing over you American Government book the night before the big exam.
1. iStudiez Lite

iStudiez Lites lets you input all of your classes so you can stay organized by date and time. Color coordinate your shceuele within the app to make your calendar more managable. Don’t forget to add in your exam times so you’re sure not to miss one! Set reminders, write down assignments and get organized!
2. Chegg Flashcards
Free for iOS
Be a little kinder to Earth and save some paper! Flashcards have gone virtual which means you can feel better about being green while studying. This app lets you make multiple flashcard sets so that you can have a stack for every class and topic. Insert photos to make your flashcards more appealing and memorable!
3. SelfControl
Free for Mac
Okay, it’s time to get down to business so that means no Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest or Tumblr. Seriously, knock it off and get studying! SelfControl allows you to put websites on a blacklist. Whatever domains you put on the blacklist are blocked from your browser for a preset amount of time. The time is irreversible so make sure you don’t overestimate the amount of time you need to study or complete your task!
4. Carrot
$1.99 for iOS
This one is worth the money, we promise. Let us introduce you too Carrot, your new sassy, moody best friend. Carrot is a to-do list app that will send you passive aggressive alerts when you don’t complete tasks. The app will also award you points and prizes for each task you successfully complete. Carrot is delightful when he’s happy but if you procrastinate then beware of his temperamental mood swings!
5. Dictionary.com
It seems simple enough but this app will be a life saver when you’re writing that 15 page Lit essay. Look up definitions of words, find synonyms and expand your vocabulary. Don’t go overboard with big, fancy words but trust us, your professor will be so impressed when you amp up your vocab.
6. EasyBib
MLA, APA, Chicago? Talk about a headache. EasyBib will make creating your Works Cited list a breeze. The app simplifies the citation processes by letting you look up books and other publications with a cool in-app scanner. Create your citations on the app and then email them to yourself. 7. Fetchnotes
Hashtags meets to-do lists with Fetchnotes. Stay connected and organized with friends by sorting your tasks via hashtags. Quickly swipe through tasks by searching for premade hashtags. Let’s be hoenst, who doesn’t love a good hashtag?
