It’s the most stressful time of the year! Finals week – we all dread it, but we can’t avoid it. Tests, group projects, papers, and many other things professors call “finals”. To us, it’s all the same: torture. You probably want to pull out your hair right about now, so here are some ways to deal with this week of stress:

1. Plan a girls night

After spending your free hours of daylight in the library, make sure to plan a night with your friends to destress! Go out to dinner, forget the finals talk and soak in your last few days together before summer break. You only have so much time with your besties before leaving them for four months, so make sure to spend some time with them!

2. Take a Netflix break

Yes, you’re allowed a little bit of time to relax and watch a show on Netflix. That doesn’t mean you can go and spend over three hours watching Titanic, but you could watch an episode of Friday Night Lights or another cheesy drama we all love.

3. Study outside

After this crazy winter filled with snow, you don’t want to spend every hour you have inside! Take your laptop, books, and notes outside. Enjoy the campus while you can. Fresh air recharges your brain while giving you new inspiration. Just don’t forget the sunscreen!

4. Break up the work

Don’t procrastinate. That will only make you stress more! It’s probably the worst thing you can do. Ignoring your work won’t make it go away, it will only keep piling up. Make sure to break up your hours of studying and give yourself plenty of rest before the big test. Pulling an all-nighter definitely won’t help your grade in the class.

5. Assign equal amounts of work in group projects and plan meetings

So you got paired up with classmates who do their work the night before. The best way to deal with this problem is to find a specific time you can all meet up to work on the project. This can help you split up the work evenly and get it done sooner rather than later. You seriously don’t want to be that girl who does the entire group project.
