This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Emerson chapter.

Looking for a way to wow your family this Thanksgiving with your new found adulthood? Why not try bringing a homemade dish to the table? These recipes are fast and simple, but they’re sure to taste delicious!

1. Sweet Potato and Marshmallow Casserole

For those with a sweet tooth, this is a tasty fall favorite! If you prefer, swap the sweet potatoes for yams. Check out the recipe! You’ll be finished in under an hour.

2. Apple Pie

If you’re up for a little bit more of a challenge, try this easy apple pie! It only takes a few ingredients and a couple of hours. (There’s no need to tell the family the crust was store-bought!)

3. Roasted Spiced Carrots

Want something a little less sugary? Try these yummy carrots!  They have enough spices in them to convince your family that you’re a culinary goddess.

4. Turkey Cookies

Okay, so this one might not be a huge hit with the adults, but the kids in your family will love these turkey cookies! Ask some of the little ones to help you decorate them; your family will appreciate the break (and admit it, they look adorable!)

Even if your culinary skills aren’t superb, your family will appreciate your effort this Thanksgiving. Enjoy your time with your loved ones this break!
