Ah, contacts. We all have love/hate relationships with these small circular lenses that are our key to seeing the world around us without having to wear something on our face. When we first got our contacts, we thought that was the end of any inconvenience we would ever have in regards to seeing. Well, we were wrong. Here are 20 things only people who wear contacts will understand:
1. When you accidentally put them in inside out
2. Or when you miss an invisible piece of dust on your contacts and put them in
3. …then trying to take them out fast enough without ripping the contact
4. That feeling when your eyes get dry in the middle of the day
5. When a contact magically falls out
6. …or your clumsy self drops one
7. When you get the “look” while putting in/taking out your contacts in front of people who don’t wear contacts
8. When something finds its way onto your contact (because something always does)
9. …Or your vision randomly goes blurry
10. …Or your eyes start hurting for no damn reason
11. And then having to convince people you’re not crying when you need to fix your contacts
12. When you’re at the pool/taking a shower and get water in your contacts
13. When the one necessity in life to carry around at all times is your mini bottle of saline solution
14. When you run out of saline solution
15. When you accidentally get makeup on your contact
16. Having to make a makeshift contact case when you forget to pack/lose yours
17. When you’re running low on contacts and end up having to wear *gasp* your glasses
18. Or when you take out your contacts and then can’t find where you put your glasses
19. When you lie down for a nap or for bed and you can’t imagine feeling more comfortable…and then you realize you still have your contacts in
20. Accepting the fact that all the hell your contacts put you through, they’re still better than wearing glasses
