Style Blog: Best Bang for your Buck Retail Stores

Do you ever wonder where to find brand name clothing and shoes where you don’t have to pay the expensive retail price? Well you’re in luck because I have a few options of great stores that sell quality name brand products for affordable prices. The only string is that these fab finds require some searching and picking through, but when you find these gems; it’s the best feeling as a college fashionista. There’s nothing better than looking like a million bucks when you have paid at maximum of $30-$50 total for your entire outfit!

T.J.Maxx

First off my favorite store of all time for finding cute brand name purses, shoes, and clothing is T.J.Maxx. Some of their purse brands included, Dooney & Bourke, Kate Spade, and Coach. They have all kinds of brands and have a large variety of styles, sizes, and colors. When I walk through the aisles, it’s like walking through a purse wonderland. Not only is it a wonderland but the purses are usually 50-60% off of retail price! Their clothes are also very affordable. I usually don’t pay more than around $10-$14 for shirts, pants, and shorts. If I feel a piece of clothing is a little out of my price range I simply wait for it to go on clearance and I can get it for an even better price! The best part of T.J.Maxx is the shoe section. Shoes are the absolute most important part of the outfit and if I can get shoes for no more than $20 then obviously I’m going to hunt for affordable delightful shoes. I once saw a pair of leopard print boots on sale for $60 when they were originally $299! What a deal! The only issue about the shoes was it unfortunately wasn’t my size! It was a sad day in the fashion world.

Marshalls

Marshalls is basically the same as T.J.Maxx. In my opinion, Marshalls is a bit cheaper than T.J.Maxx. The catch is that Marshalls carries less big name brands like T.J.Maxx carries. If you are looking for a luxury purse or shoe for a cheap price then T.J.Maxx is a better store. Marshalls carries purse and shoe brand names like Nine West, Tignanello, and Betty Boop. They are great brands with good quality but not as luxury a brand as say Dooney & Bourke or Coach. Marshalls is still a great store for quality and affordable clothing, shoes, and accessories.

 DSW

I’m always asked the infamous question, “Where did you get those shoes?” I always answer DSW, just like in their commercial. DSW is a large shoe department store. It has a large variety of shoes including men’s and kids shoes.  They also sell purses and other shoe essentials. The great thing about DSW is that they have a large clearance section. The clearance tags can range from 20-60% off of the already reduced price tag. If you sign up for their e-mails they also send $5-$10 coupons with promos with free items with your purchase in store and online. The great thing is you can use the coupons on the clearance items. I once bought a pair of brown strappy sandals and only paid around $20. They were originally over $100 retail and were on sale in clearance for $60 but were 40% off, and my combined coupons totaled $15!

*Fashion Hunter Secret*

If hunting for good deals seems like a lot of work and a little difficult I have a secret for you! The secret to getting great finds is to know what days that the stores restock the shelves. That way all the new items are out and available for grabs. The hunt for a good deal is less tedious this way!
