Easy Halloween D.I.Y. Décor Ideas

Hanging Ghosts
These ghosts are cute and easy to make. All you will need is 1 black sharpie or black paint, 1 pair of scissors, about 6 yards of sheer white fabric, 3 styrofoam balls around 6-8 inches, and 3 pieces of string. Draw two circles onto the sides of the styrofoam ball. Paint the circles black to form large black eyes. Depending on how long you want the ghostly body to be, cut three pieces of fabric out of the six yards to be draped over each ghost. You can also shred the fabric for a more eerie look. So the ghost can be hanged, make a small incision in the center of the piece of fabric for the string. Glue the top of the ball and the fabric together with the string. And then you’re done! Now all you need is a good place to hang your new spooky ghosts.
Luminary Tin Cans
You will need 3 clean empty tin cans, 3 battery operated mini lights, 1 black sharpie, 1 hammer, 1 nail, 1 towel, paint of your choice, 1 paint brush, and 1 tooth pick. Fill the empty cans with water and place them into the freezer overnight. When the water has frozen, draw your pattern onto the can. Place the towel on a solid surface and then put the can onto the towel. Hold the nail firmly in your hand and carefully hammer the nail into the can to puncture the pattern into the can. Once the pattern has been punctured through completely, melt the ice with warm running water and hammer the bottom of the can if it is uneven. Dry off the can and then paint the can with whatever color you choose and let it dry. Use the toothpick, if needed, to re-puncture some of the places where the paint may have filled your pattern in. Now all you need to do is put your candle or battery operated light into the can and enjoy!
Window Lantern
With this D.I.Y all you will need is cardboard that will fit tightly into your window and a pair of scissors. Measure out how big or small you will need your cardboard to be, and cut out designs, faces, etc. into the cardboard. The light from inside the room will light up the cardboard making the cardboard designs come to life! This one is really fun and super easy to make and will be sure to spook people at night!
