This Wednesday, the Her Campus Durham Editorial Team headed to St.Oswald’s Church on Church Street to support one of the university choirs: Durham University Voices. Voices had gladly agreed to become one of our partner societies this year so we were thrilled to receive an invite to their annual charity Christmas concert.
With some well-known favourites like ‘Don’t Stop Me Now’ and some classic Christmas carols, it was the perfect night to get us all feeling extra Christmassy! We absolutely loved the audience participation part of the concert too – nothing like a good rendition of ‘Hark the Herald Angels Sing’ to get you in a festive mood.
After the concert we all enjoyed some mince pies and some lovely mulled fruit juice. President, Katie Parsloe later revealed that Voices had raised a fantastic £139.68 for their chosen charities of Lepra and Rainbow Trust!
