Crystal Light Hard Candy: The Way to Go!By April 19, 2012 - 7:00pm My fellow colleague and I were astounded to walk into her apartment this week to find 7 whole boxes of Crystal Light Hard Candies—little did we know, this was to be one of the best decisions we ever made. These candies are awesome. Seriously. We’re all familiar with Crystal Light (I have one friend who religiously used it as a mixer during pregame her entire sophomore year) as a refreshing, low calorie drink—but now they (licensed by the company, Sorbee) upped the ante with low-calorie hard candies. Quinoa-stuffed PeppersBy April 17, 2012 - 12:00am My love of cooking definitely comes from the experiences I had cooking with my mom back at home, and even more so from the incredible responses she always received for her signature dishes (hi Mom!). One dish that really stuck with me (even though we only made it once or twice) was quinoa-stuffed peppers, inspired by a recipe we found on the Whole Foods website. READ MORE |

The Dating Duchess: The Struggles of Dating a SeniorBy April 15, 2012 - 12:00am No, not those “seniors”! Ah, senior year. What can be better than senior year? Nothing…if you’re a senior. But not all of us are seniors, and not all of us are graduating next year. So what do you do if you’ve happened to fall head over heels in love with a senior—and his queen size mattress (because he lives in an apartment with a real bed, real dishes, and real furniture that doesn’t smell like years of Duke students’ puke)? Freshman Guide to Moving Off EastBy April 13, 2012 - 12:00am Freshman Guide to Moving Off East Housing assignments have been confirmed. Your fate has been decided. If you were placed on Central next year (whether by choice or kicking and screaming), a lot is inevitably going to change. After living on East, it’s easy to take housing for granted. There’s a lot of freedom with dorm life, but there is also a lot we aren’t responsible for - cleaning bathrooms (if you have hall style), restocking paper towels and toilet paper, taking out the trash and recycling, cleaning up that mess in the common room no one wants to claim… READ MORE |

Love, Lilith: Belly Button Piercings at DukeBy April 11, 2012 - 12:00am On the day I turned 18, before I went to buy the traditional coming-of-age pack of cigarettes, I took a detour and got my belly button pierced. It was essentially a spur-of-the-moment decision (not counting the fact that #56 on my bucket list at the time was to pierce a part of my body other than my ear). READ MORE |

Our Favorite PIZZAS in Durham!By April 10, 2012 - 12:00am You’d be hard-pressed to find someone who doesn’t love a good pizza. Or a crappy pizza, for that matter. Recent technological advances (read: more considerate restaurant owners) have made pizza a reality even for vegans and those who are lactose and gluten intolerant. Regardless of what diet you’re on this week, it’s hard to resist the smell of a freshly-baked pizza, the burn of crushed red peppers, or the crunch of a perfectly baked crust. Here’s a rundown of our favorite ways to satisfy that craving - phone numbers and locations are included, because we’d be largely impressed if you weren’t craving a pizza by the end of this post.
