Here’s the thing: I am secretly 30 years old and enjoy reading healthy living blogs in my free time. Since seventh grade, I have been an avid reader of several blogs written by women with healthy lifestyles who share their everyday tips and lives with their readers. I will admit that college makes it very challenging to adopt consistent healthy habits (All-nighters suck. End of story.), but reading these blogs have helped teach me how I can and should be eating, exercising, and living. My favorite aspect of a blog is the human element. I enjoy really getting to know the blogger by reading about how her day went, and these types of bloggers keep me entertained and informed, two key elements that keep me coming back as a reader. From specific workouts to recipes to tips on how to begin changing unhealthy lifestyle choices into healthy ones, these three blogs are my favorites, and I hope in time they will become yours as well. Enjoy!
1. Peanut Butter Fingers: Julie is a blogger living in Florida with her adorable husband and dog, Sadie. What I enjoy most about her blog is her positive attitude and excitement towards life. Not only does Julie exemplify living a healthy and balanced life, but she also emphasizes the importance of staying positive through the ups and downs. Julie’s mom was diagnosed with breast cancer a few years ago, a turning point which led Julie to commit to living well for her health rather than for vanity. Check out her blog for fun workout ideas, tips for college students and graduates, and cute photos of her family and Sadie!
1. Fitnessista: Gina is a blogger from Arizona who lives with her husband, newborn baby girl, and dog, Bella. You can tell from her writing that Gina blogs from her heart, and her passion for exercise and healthy eating exudes in all of her posts. What I find most interesting about Gina’s blog are her realistic accounts of what it’s like living as a military wife. As an inspirational woman who motivated herself to exercise and eat better, Gina actually transitioned into a healthy lifestyle while in college, and her blog provides very helpful exercise tips, food recipes, and even fashion advice!

2. Girl Meets Life: Gracie is a young 20-something living in the heart of New York City and having fun while making her dreams come true. She works with her closest friends and makes time to go out and enjoy all that the Big Apple has to offer. I enjoy reading her blog for all of the fun adventures she has with her friends, and I keep coming back to read because her blog is not only fun to read but also chockfull of good advice for females our age. Gracie creates single-portion desserts and finds the best restaurants in NYC, so check her blog out!
