Want your roommates or floormates to love you this Halloween? Look no further – this sweet and salty Chex mix is very easy to make as well as dorm-friendly (no stove or oven necessary!). But, beware, this sticky treat can make a mess and will have you obsessed!

Ingredients (Serves about eight people):

½ box of plain rice Chex cereal

½ bag of Pretzel Crisps

½ bag of candy corn

(Optional) One cup of caramel

If you’re using caramel in your version, begin with this step. If not, skip to step two.

  1. Open your caramel and dish one cup or less of it into a microwaveable container. Heat the bowl of caramel for 30 seconds in a microwave. Carefully take the bowl out of the microwave and set aside.
  2. Next, open your rice Chex cereal and pour half of the box into a large bowl. If you are using caramel in your dish, pour the caramel over the cereal and mix thoroughly with a spoon or your clean hands. Let the caramel/cereal mixture sit in the fridge for 10-15 mins until slightly hardened. If no caramel is being used, just leave the cereal as is.
  3. Then, you will pour in half a bag of Pretzel Crisps. If you would like the Pretzel Crisps to be smaller, break them up into pieces with your hands before putting them into the mix.
  4. You will then pour in half a bag of candy corn.
  5. Finally, you will mix all the ingredients thoroughly so that every ingredient is evenly distributed.

Share it with your friends, or eat it all by yourself (we won’t tell anyone). Have a delicious Halloween!
