Crazy Expensive Tiffany Products That People Are Freaking Out Over

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Drexel chapter.

I’m sure you’ve seen all over social media the outrageously priced everyday objects that Tiffany & Co. recently released. The priciest item includes a $9,000 ball of yarn made of hand-spun strands of textured sterling silver that can only be purchased at the New York City flagship store or online. There are only five of this one-of-a-kind piece created worldwide for their loyal customers to purchase. I’m sure this outrageously priced ball of yarn will entice wealthy customers who are able to afford this one-of-a-kind collectible because of the exclusivity. Not to mention when you return this product with the hefty price tag, you can enjoy complimentary shipping and free returns. This item is only for decorative purposes compared to the rest of the everyday objects in the Tiffany collection. Although you may not want to use these utilitarian products due to the extreme price tag, royalty may be able to be use these designer items on an everyday basis such as the AM and PM Pill Box, for $500. An average plastic pillbox costs around $5, so this designer medication contraption is a hundred times pricier than those sold at the drugstore.

Items in this collection include: a sterling silver ball of yarn, a set of bone china paper cups, sterling silver paper cup, silver, rose gold and gold crazy straws, a set of table tennis paddles, an ice bucket, and a sterling silver coffee can.

The Bone China Paper Cups (set of two for $95) were created into a work of art after the Tiffany & Co. artisans were inspired by the paper coffee cups used in stores worldwide. These $95 cups were created from bone china and are the less expensive version of the Sterling Silver Paper Cup ($575).
