With Halloween right around the corner, the anticipation is high to see everyone’s costumes and seeing how creative people got. Celebrities are our go-to for Halloween inspiration, but they also like to have fun and become someone (or something) else for one day every year! Here’s a list of some of the most iconic and creative celebrity Halloween costumes from past years.
1. Beyoncé as Storm

The one and only, Beyoncé, pulled off this iconic X-Men superhero during a Halloween party in 2015. From the striking white-blonde hair, the spooky contacts, and the on-point outfit, this costume will forever go down as one of the best superhero costumes.
2. Heidi Klum as Jessica Rabbit

When I first saw this costume, I couldn’t believe that there was an actual person behind this – let alone Heidi Klum! The fact that she looks so similar to Jessica Rabbit is slightly scary, but also so intriguing. Klum posted some behind-the-scenes shots of the process of applying this costume and all I can say is, “Bravo!”
3. Adele as The Mask

If you have ever watched The Mask, you know that Jim Carrey’s strange characters in the movie are very eccentric, to say the least. Adele was the one to pull off this character during Halloween in 2016. From the facial structure to the outfit, I would not have recognized that such a beautiful voice was hiding behind such a scary mask!
4. Cher as Cleopatra

Honestly, anything that Cher wears becomes iconic in some way. For this Cleopatra-inspired Halloween costume, the jewels and the glamour of it are what really pulls it together and makes it amazing. Not to mention, the hair and headpiece make me wish it was acceptable to wear head pieces like this every day.
5. Bette Midler as Winnie Sanderson

Bette Midler brought back her infamous Halloweentown character for a Halloween party in 2016. This outfit really took me back to my childhood, making us reminisce about our memories of Halloween and watching scary Disney movies. Now, if only I could still trick-or-treat at strangers’ houses and ask for candy.
6. Matt Lauer as….these.

I don’t know if I should be traumatized or amazed, but whatever the feeling is, Matt Lauer from The Today Show definitely went above and beyond with his Halloween costumes from past years. He has successfully been in character as Jennifer Lopez, Paris Hilton, Pam Anderson, and Lucy from Peanuts.

Kylie Jenner got this look spot-on! The inspiration for this outfit came from Christina Aguilera’s sexy getup in her 2002 music video for her song, “Dirrty”. The hair, outfit, and makeup match exactly what X-tina sports in the video.
Seeing all of these Halloween costumes gets me so excited for the fun holiday and ready to see the many creative costumes that people come up with! These celebrity costumes really put the icing on the cake as some of the best.
