Spring fashion is a time of transition and layers. You’ll be freezing one minute then sweating the next while you’re walking to class. Spring is also the time for experimentation with your fashion pieces. We compiled a list of four must-have pieces to add to your wardrobe this season.

1. Overalls

Overalls are a great piece to have in the spring because of their versatility. Pair them with long sleeves or a sweater on colder days, or a short-sleeved crop top on the warmer days. Overalls pull a look together while being effortless and comfortable.

2. Graphic T-Shirts

This year during fashion week graphic T-shirts were everywhere. Paired with midi skirts and parachute pants, these T-shirts can add serious character to your outfits. Luckily, the hottest stores sell pre-distressed tees with your favorite graphics, brand names and boy bands plastered on the front. A great way to find awesome tees is to go thrifting and customize ‘em yourself.

3. Platform Shoes

For the girls who seek comfort over style, platform shoes are competing with heels. The ‘90s are back with super chunky sandals and sneakers. Pairing platform shoes with a simple outfit dresses it up a lot and allows you to stand out amongst others. This season, top brands are selling platforms with snakeskin, animal prints and more.

4. Denim Skirts

Denim skirts are remniscent of Lizzie McGuire and Rocket Power. This spring, you can find a wide variety of denim skirts. For dressed up days and dressier nights, high-waisted waxed denim skirts will turn heads. Pair a denim skirt with a graphic tee and oversized cardigan for a simple daytime look or wear one silky halter tank and some fishnet tights for a night look. For warmer days, denim midi skirts come in handy when you’re too lazy to wear pants but still want to look put together.

Fashion is always changing so it’s good to have pieces that can last you through any season, whether it’s overalls for any type of weather, or a trendy T-shirt that can be worn to bed or out to dinner, these pieces are super versatile.
