Music Man: Meet Jessie J

Have you ever wondered what Natasha Bedingfield would sound like with a dash of hip-hop and reggae sprinkled in her pop tracks? Look no further because Jessie J, another British artist, is here to end any speculation. Jessie J’s experience within the music business dates back much further than her announcement in 2010 to launch her own solo career, in the past penning songs for some of music’s biggest names: Justin Timberlake, Alicia Keys, and even Christina Aguilera. She even co-wrote that little song you might have heard of: “Party in the USA” for teen sensation Miley Cyrus. Jessie J plans to release her debut album in the US this coming April.

Unlike the two previous Music Man blog posts, Angel Taylor released her debut album in March of 2009, Love Travels. Some of you may already know her, but for many music lovers she is practically unknown. This sweet 22-year-old songstress is based out of Los Angeles and her cheerful and sunny music reflects her golden state roots. Her song “Make Me Believe” was featured as the free Tuesday download on iTunes in 2009 after her album’s initial release. Momentum continued to build when for Taylor when she was featured as one of VH1’s You Outta Know: Artists on the Rise in 2010. READ MORE
