Here’s What You Missed at Coachella

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at DePauw chapter.

The fashionistas of the world gather for one event to show off their fiercest outfits. New York Fashion Week? Any fashion week? Nope, the event where one can flaunt it all and show off the best outfits is at the one and only Coachella.

Coachella is the music festival that gathers celebrities, YouTube influencers, and ordinary viral twitter stars alike to live their best lives all at the same time in Indio, California at the Empire Polo Club.

Now, here’s what you missed at Coachella (narrated in your very best Glee recap voice):

Beyoncé ruled the Coachella crowd and remade it into Beychella. She headlined the show, and the crowd was all for it. Then she made the best night of many lives even better when she reunited with her old band, Destiny’s Child. They played together like they were still touring, and they absolutely slayed the crowd.  This was a true moment to remember that could only happen at Coachella.

Ariana Grande performed her own show, and she killed it, too. Her outstanding vocals weren’t the only thing that wowed the crowd. She surprised her fans by singing her new song, “No Tears Left to Cry,” and the crowd loved it. What is there not to love from an amazing song from the one and only Ariana Grande?

Cardi B brought the house down, baby in tow and all. She twerked it and worked it and wouldn’t let anyone or anything stop her.

“Walmart Yodel Boy” shocked the world when he was invited to perform on the Coachella stage. Mason Ramsey played his viral song for the crowd and even gained a new friend during his performance. Justin Bieber was in the crowd and was loving the performance, and videos are all over Twitter to prove it. Mason was met backstage by the Biebs himself, and he was able to get pictures taken with him. Talk about overnight sensation!

However, the music wasn’t the only show-stopping part of Coachella. Enter: the outfits.

Vanessa Hudgens remains Queen of Coachella for another year. Her boho chic look remained true this year in yet another amazing outfit ensemble.

LeLe Pons, a YouTube influencer and Instagram sensation with her Vine-like videos, is now famous for her Coachella attire as well.

Liza Koshy, the girl of many faces and voices who has stormed Vine, Musically, Instagram and YouTube, has now also stormed Coachella. She rocked her low-key days and her high-end fashion that is only acceptable at Coachella.

Carington Durham, an Instagram star and YouTube influencer, was a Coachella Beauty Queen this year. My favorite look of Carington’s this year was outlandish and beautiful all at once. She was flashy without putting it all out there to see, and it was amazing. The rhinestones were sparkling, creating a Coachella hall of fame (if only there was a real one!).

And that’s what you missed at Coachella (yes, another Glee reference)!
