Last Friday, Sigma Chi Fraternity brought the Electric Dance Music (EDM) artists, Milk N Cookies, to DePauw’s campus to perform at their fraternity’s house. I had the pleasure of interviewing Aaron Mahoney, a sophomore Sigma Chi, to get the scoop on this exciting performance.

Her Campus: Hey Aaron, thank you so much for talking to HerCampus about Sigma Chi’s event last weekend. We are all wondering, how did you connected with Milk N Cookies?

Aaron: Well, Milk and Cookies are two artists that Jacob Weiner, a Sigma Chi who graduated last year, knew fairly well. We kept in touch with their booking agent, and decided to have them play for one of the bigger weekends of this semester.

HC: This weekend was defiantly the perfect weekend to have them with it being Bell Week and all! Could you tell the HerCampus viewers a little bit more about the performance line up?

Aaron: Yes, of course. Starting at 9:30 we had EDM artist, “Real Normal” play, followed by sophomore Sigma Chi, Justin Barnes at 10:00. Win and Woo went on at 10:30, and Milk N Cookies closed down the party with a 12:00-1:45 set.

HC: Wow that sounds like an exciting, jam packed, night! It must have been fun for Justin to perform for his fellow classmates and alums. Do you think the performance was a success?

Aaron: I think it was a success from a social standpoint, as well as from a safety standpoint, both of which are equally important during big party nights.

HC: “It’s always good to hear that both the social and the safety parts of the night went smoothly. Do you think that it was worth having them?”

Aaron: It was absolutely worth having them. On top of being fantastic performers and artists, they’re also great guys. It was a blast having them around the house for the weekend.

HC: Well that is just excellent to hear. Last but not least we are wondering what the other members of Sigma Chi thought. What the Chapter over all happy with their performance?

Aaron: The consensus of the chapter was that it was a great concert, and I agree. A theme that I noticed at the party as well as throughout the weekend in general was that there was a heightened sense of Greek unity, which is something that often goes overlooked. It was great seeing students from every house having a good time with each other.

HC: Well thank you so much Aaron for answering some of HerCampus’ questions. It sounds like Milk N Cookies and your Friday night was a success!

Aaron: No Problem!
