The following are a list of things that are worth obsessing over and are currently taking over our lives.
Hamilton
Anyone lucky enough to have made it to Leslie Odom, Jr.’s Ubben Lecture last Tuesday is likely playing the Hamilton soundtrack on repeat. A long-time fan or a newcomer to the craze, the soundtrack is available on iTunes and Spotify. Go give it a listen if you haven’t already, you won’t regret it!
The weather
It is finally starting to feel like fall. Boots, scarves and vests have made a massive resurfacing within the last few days and the leaves are slowly following suit. Is there anything better than the crisp array of leaves crunching beneath fresh boots at a Saturday morning tailgate? Answer: No. The change in season also means that the holidays are right around the corner and with them come time to spend with family, friends and finals. Ah, fall.
Pokémon Go
Since I’m sure you haven’t been living under a rock all summer, you have at least heard of and downloaded the ever-popular Pokémon Go App. Virtual Gyms are located in around Greencastle and there’s even one in Julian! If you haven’t been sucked into the alternate universe nerds have prayed for their entire lives, try it out. It can make for a fun walk to class. #TeamValor
Go discover your Patronus, right now! (Mom, a Patronus is what protects you from the dementors.) Results seem to range from owls and cats to hippogriffs. While you’re over there, make sure you take the updated sorting quiz. Hufflepuff or Slytherin, this makes for a fun break from your studies and is always a fun friend activity.
