Warm temperatures and sunny days are just around the corner, but the gloom is not over quite yet. Unfortunately, the transition into Spring means about a month of dreary, wet weather. Luckily, some bright, waterproof gear can help keep you dry and at least somewhat cheery during the month of rainy month of April and looking forward to the May flowers! Here are the essentials:

Rain boots

In the next few weeks, Hunter boots will become a common sight on campus. These durable rain boots come in a variety of colors and heights. Although a pair of Hunter boots may not be easy on your wallet, one pair will last you a few years. However, other options are available at a more affordable price, for a similar value. Check out Tommy Hilfiger, Sperry, and Ralph Lauren for cheaper, yet stylish alternatives. Knee-high rain boots are always popular, but mid-calf and even shorter boots are trendy too! Chelsea style ankle rain booties are especially in this spring, and look great with springy skirts and dresses. Once you find the perfect pair you may not even want to take them off, even when the sun comes out!
