Alec Kaczkowski ’16

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at DePauw chapter.

This week’s campus cutie is Alec Kaczkowski. We sat down to talk about his life at DePauw and the upcoming future.

Her Campus: So Alec, before we start the interview, why don’t you tell our readers a little bit about yourself.

Campus Cutie: Well I am from St. Louis, MO. I came to DePauw to play tennis, I’m a member of the Management Fellows program, and I am a Phi Delt on campus. I also waiter part-time at Alpha Phi, shout out to Mom Marie!

HC: Wow, awesome. So you said you came to DePauw to play tennis, you must really love it?

CC: Yeah, I’ve been playing tennis since I was 8. I play both singles and doubles but I’m probably better at singles right now. I like both but I like playing singles the best.

HC: Cool! I know you’re a big music freak, what songs get you pumped up before a match?

CC: I kind of like electronic stuff – I’ve been listening to Phoenix and Sylvan Esso lately. I love Odesza and The Chainsmokers too! I listen to more upbeat, female vocals for sure.

HC: You, my friend, have great taste in music if I do say so myself. So you’re a senior this year, how does it feel to be graduating in less than a year?

CC: Honestly, I’m not too worried about it. I like being a senior and knowing everyone at DePauw. I have a couple jobs lined up after school and even one in Indy so I’m not too worried.

HC: I see you’ve been thinking about your future quite a bit!

CC: (laughs) Yeah, you could say that.

HC: Well good luck! Moving on, if you could do anything after you leave DePauw, what would it be?

CC: I don’t have a particular company in mind but I definitely want to move to Chicago and maybe do consulting at a small business. Two of my best friends live in Chicago so I would love to move in with them.

HC: Chicago sounds like a great place to live right after graduation, good choice! So Alec, is there a special someone in your life at the moment.

CC: (laughs) No there’s not Caroline, I’m single. I have lots of friends but no special someone at the moment.

HC: Good news for our readers then! If you could plan out the perfect date, what would it look like?

CC: Oh wow! I guess I would go pick her up and we would go to the nature park or something, walk around, trot up to the reflection center. Then maybe go get dinner somewhere nice and maybe go get ice cream at Dairy Castle (when it is open of course).

HC: Very romantic Alec. Well, folks you heard it all from Mr. Alec Kaczkoswki! If you’re looking for a music loving, tennis playing romantic, Alec’s your guy.
