Torrey and Chanel Smith Help Get 43 Animals Adopted

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at DePaul chapter.

The Philadelphia Eagles new wide reciever Torrey Smith and his wife Chanel have paid adoption fees for 46 cats and dogs recently. They made the donation to BARCS Animal Shelter in Baltimore.

At a recent event held by BARCS with Mr. and Mrs. Smith in attendance- Torrey told event goers that him and his wife wanted to make sure that the 46 cat and dogs they covered adoption fees for had an adoption application by the end of the night.

Torrey and Chanel have been married since 2013 and when Torrey signed with the Philadelphia Eagles, he made a 3-year deal worth 15 million dollars.

Almost every one of those 46 animals were adopted that night except for one. That little pup was adopted earlier this week after the event by Ronnie Stanley, who plays for the Baltimore Ravens.
