#PrayforParis

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Denison chapter.

This summer, I traveled to Europe with friends and family.  We spent one week in London and one in Paris.

The Bataclan Theatre, one of the sites of last night’s terrorist attacks is located in the 11th arrondissement of Paris, mere blocks from where I stayed this summer.  Though it’s chilling and horrifying no matter what, the fact that this tragedy occurred so close to where I ate my breakfast each morning in July is haunting.

Many Parisians gathered at the Place de la Republique last night to mourn and come together.  After the attack on the Charlie Hebdo office, the statue at the Place de la Republique became a canvas for graffiti artists to express their feelings about the violence.

Keep Paris in your thoughts.
