This October marks the triumphant return of Larry David to television, with the ninth season of Curb Your Enthusiasm premiering on the first. I have been deprived of his comedic genius for far too long, having to survive on re-watching past seasons and his now iconic portrayal of Bernie Sanders on Saturday Night Live this past year. Honestly, there could not be a better time for his return. With the state of our country, he is needed now more than ever. So here are a few reasons why I cannot wait for the bumbling consternations and glorious comedy of the great Larry David:
- He tells it like it is
In these dark times, we need a hero to speak for the people.
2. He is the worst and most relatable person in social situations
Do I really have to speak to other humans? My and Larry’s recommendation is no.
3. He rarely knows what is going on
He just bumbles through life, and let me just say, same.
4. His Bernie Sanders impersonation is incredible
The only part of election season I miss.
5. He is not afraid to put others in their place
Did I invite you into my business? Hmm I wonder why?
6. He tries to genuinely connect with others, and has no patience for idle chit-chat
No talking about the weather, ever.
7. He puts up with no BS
8. He knows how to rock any outfit
I’d love to raid his closet tbh.
9. He really knows how to handle difficult situations
Hiding from my problems and crying is how I deal, ok? It’s called adulting.
