In this beatutiful world we live in, there are many unseen places to explore. This week, we decided to talk to our amazing fellow Her Campus Members to check out where they have traveled around the world. These places not only range across the world, but also to even places that are within our own backyard. If you are in the mood to find your new dream vacation, you’ve come to the right place. Look here, at the top places our HC members have visted and listen to their experiences!

Kauai, HI

“I went to Kauai, the island is covered in beautiful trees, plants, and so many great beaches. It is known as the garden island and it is my favorite island I’ve been too!” -Emily Masseth

Orcas Island, WA

“Orcas Island is the best place to escape to from the mainland. From mountains to beaches, there is just so much to do. My favorite is to Kayak around Moran State Park on a warm day and jumping off the bridge that crosses the lake! Eastsound is the main town on Orcas Island, and it will really take you back in time. Good luck finding WiFi here! Most of the locals just like to chat during their morning cup of coffee.” – Allison Braun

Castel de Sant’angelo, Rome, Italy“I traveled to Italy on a trip with students and teachers from my high school. Over the 2 weeks we visited Rome, Florence, Assisi, Milan, Venice, and Verona. The Colosseum and the Castel de Sant’angelo were 2 of my favorite places in Rome because they have been there for almost 2000 years! Assisi is a smaller village outside of Rome, built on a hill to protect them in battle hundreds on years ago. Assisi was beautiful and had great views and architecture! Italy is filled with rich history and views and would highly recommend it visiting if you are ever in Europe!” -Jenny Johnson

San Jose, Costa Rica

“I went on a cruise from Key West Florida and went to the Bahamas where the sun was beaming and the weather was perfect. Drank water from a coconut and went swimming in the ocean. Talk about paradise!” -Gloria Rivera

Nassau, Bahamas

“I traveled to Limon Costa Rica to visit family, curly hair and rain forest humidity definitely don’t mix well but from seeing monkeys in the jungle to surfing for my first time Costa Rica was quite the adventure.” -Gloria Rivera

Lake Curlew, WA

“I went to Lake Curlew in Republic, WA. The water is calm all day so we could go water skiing or wake boarding whenever we wanted! There is also a small campground and ice cream shop to go to. This is a fun vacation for people who love being out on the water!” Jenelle Rose

Glacier National Park, MT

“I live about 45 minutes from Glacier National Park so I go there quite often, not just as a one time trip! Its amazing and I would reccomend this natural beauty to anyone who has access!” -Leah Woodruff

Santa Monica, CA

I went to California for the first time and the first place I had to go was Santa Monica Pier! I’ve been obsessed with it ever since high school and it did not disappoint. Being from the rainy side of Washington it’s crazy to think that there are places with roller coasters and fair food year round!” -Tiara Currow

Honolulu, HI“I went to Honolulu, Hawaii with my brother and sister over spring break last year to have a lil sibling vaca because my moms a flight attendant and we’re lucky enough to be able to use her benefits!
