There’s nothing better than cranking up the radio while driving and belting your heart out to every song. But one things for sure… the radio stations are slim here in Ellensburg. When it comes to station selections there’s some Country music, a bit of Classic Rock, and whatever else you can find flipping through the static. Luckily, we have 88.1 The Burg.
Our campus radio features state of the art equipment, ran by and for the students of CWU.
88.1 The Burg is constantly playing the top 40, modern rock, hot country and hip-hop, The Burg is the channel to have set while here at school. Along with a few other awards within the last year, 88.1 was named the best college radio station at the Intercollegiate Broadcasting System Awards. With more than 10,000 students in competition for the title CWU took first place!
If you’d like to take advantage of our station and build experience in broadcasting there’s no pre-requisites required or previous experience needed. Visit SURC 120 for a tour, or to grab information on the DJ training program.
