4 Women to Thank This Mothers Day

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at CWU chapter.

Mother’s Day is a wonderful time to celebrate the strong women that made us who we re today. The ladies that picked us up when we fell, wiped our tears for every hard loss and high school heartbreak and more importantly have celebrated everyone one of our victories. Mom’s are cool, but don’t forget the rest of your tribe!

This Mother’s day send a text, a card or a venmo for a Sunday morning coffee to the ladies in your life that have helped you get this far and have helped you every step of the way! Here are a few women on your list this year..

Mom

Duh, the day literally has they’re name written all over it. But sometimes it’s nice to remind them of the little things about them that they may not notice. Tell her about a time she was there for you or something you especially love about her.

Aunts

Younger or older siblings, or maybe even your moms best friend, we live for the fun aunts. Whether you’re blood or not, they are instrumental to your upbringing, telling our mom to go easy on you when you really mess up or giving you a place to crash when you’ve simply had enough. Thank goodness for these ladies.

Grandmas

Literally none of us would be here without her, that deserves a handmade card at the very least. There is no love like a grandma’s love, so near or far, let that queen know you love her!

Your Bae/BFF’s Mom

These are the moms that you can tell things you can’t tell your mom, an know exactly how you feel when your best friend/bae gets on your nerves, because they probably got it from their dad. Make sure to thank them for giving you one of your favorite people.

To all the ladies in the place with style and grace, thank you for making us the strong, educated, independent young women we are today.
