How I Improved My Health & Overall Happiness

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at CUA chapter.

“If you truly want to change your life you must first change your mind.”

Focus on becoming aware of yourself, your thoughts, and everything around you in a nonjudgmental way. Instead of letting life pass you by, pay attention to living in the moment, literally, with enormous expectancy for the future. Have you ever felt down and suddenly when a particular day is approaching you suddenly become overall happier? That feeling of expectancy, appreciating the moment, and understanding that good things are headed your way is THE way to live your life happily. It merely requires a mind shift. This meditation is a simple and easy way to relieve stress and improve overall health. Becoming a general practitioner may lead to significant stress reduced levels, which leads to a much better overall health. A simple technique just practiced for at least five to ten minutes a day can make a considerable improvement. Be content with what you have; rejoice in the way things are. When you realize nothing is lacking, the whole world belongs to you — Lao Tzu

My overall attitude throughout the day shifted into a more content state.

Acknowledging the good that you already have in your life is the foundation for all abundance — Eckhart Tolle

I became truly happy. At the end of the day that’s what we all want in life. It appears that we are the most content at the moment when we become aware of the present, and we are less happy when our minds are all over the place.

Here are some scientifically proven physical improvements that you will most likely experience:

Obtaining some of these psychological benefits, aside from physical ones, has become so simple. It just requires a few minutes of your day to sit back, relax, and watch your inner peace grow amazingly!

Don’t just exist, but live and experience every moment of this beautiful life!
