Dear Writer’s Block: You Tried It

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at CUA chapter.

Dear Writer’s Block,

You tried it. You are currently stressing me out. I have so many things I need to write for my classes this semester and you just don’t want to cooperate. Why? I need you to get with the program. If these papers could write themselves I wouldn’t even be talking to you right now. But obviously life doesn’t work like that now does it? You think Senior Seminar is a game? What you think 25- 40 pages are just going to pop up in my hands, like I am a magician?! NO!! Look I know I’ve been tripping with all this procrastination.

I have been neglecting you because I have a lot of others thing going on. And I know it is wrong as hell for me to be treating you like this. But let’s be real what did you expect? You know it’s my last year, you know I’m going to be out here partying, brunching and all sorts of other things. I am not saying I’m right for this I can admit that but it’s also like come on you know what you are getting yourself into. You know I am a lot to handle. You know I am all over the place. I am trying to do better. Starting today I am going to treat you right. I am going to love you right. We are going to make this work. Because there is no me without you. There is no me graduating without you. So let’s do the damn thing. We are a dynamic duo. Two peas in a pod. You get on my nerves a lot but I know in the end it will all be okay. Your girl is just beyond stress but when the semester ends I am going to be so appreciative and thankful of you.

Sincerely,

Your stressed out fave, Jackie
