In anticipation for the long awaited sequel, T2:TRAINSPOTTING , Senior Media and Communication Studies student Patrick Healy hosted a screening of the film TRAINSPOTTING on campus.
The screening was prefaced by teacher Martin Johnson delivering a fascinating talk about the culutral impact of the film and how it has remained significant since its’ release over 20 years ago.
Healy also organized a free raffle for the event attendees and gave away prizes such as film soundtracks, the book which the film was based off of and most notably a signed poster by film director Danny Boyle.
Throughout the film students in attendance, many of whom has never seen the film before, shared in laughs and shock as the film progressed.
Overall the event was extremely successful and enjoyed by all who came out, and it was great to see the CUA community immerse in the film arts and be able to engage in a discussion over a timeless cinematic work.
