Celebrating Norooz at Cornell

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Cornell chapter.

Norooz is the Persian New Year, and celebrated on the first day of spring each year. Although Norooz took place last Tuesday on the 20th during spring break, Iranian Students Organization held its Norooz celebration for Cornellians in Carl Becker House on Thursday night.

As part of the festivities, there was catered Persian food from Parisa Restaurant, a raffle, and of course, performances from Teszia, Bhangra, and musical guests!

PS. Did you know that going to a Bhangra show before graduation is on the 161 Big Red Ambition list?
