Counting Down to GraduationBy April 13, 2012 - 2:17pm As the commencement clock keeps ticking, graduation looms closer and closer. As a senior, it's hard to believe that my four years on the hill have gone by so quickly. On Wednesday, I was able to attend the Senior Class President's Reception, which was held in the Statler Ballroom. Hearing President Skorton speak made me realise that my last few weeks of senior year are definitely moments to be treasured and remembered. The "Fratpack"By April 13, 2012 - 8:54am As internet video blogger Jenna Marbles once put it, “When you go out at night, you need to make like a mini-marriage with your shoes.” Jenna goes on to describe how no matter how much your feet hurt, if you choose to wear heels out at night, you need to keep them on until you get home. What Jenna does not take into consideration is in college, going out at night can entail over a mile of walking from party to party, especially on a large campus like Cornell. Every girl wants to look cute at a party rocking some stilettos, but trekking uphill through Ithaca weather in five-inch pumps can kill your desire to look cute, let alone dance, once you actually make it to the party. Because, hey, there’s no better way to procrastinate than cleaning. Maybe other than reading Her Campus. Here’s a list of things to toss, pack away, and buy anew: Toss Rubber Flip Flops - First of all, if people use them as shower shoes, you probably shouldn’t be wearing them out in public. But if you must wear these “sandals,” and I’m using that term loosely here, then at least invest in a new pair seasonally. They get visibly yucky after heavy usage.
