Do you have a favorite class or professor at Conn? My favorite course has been Race, Gender, and the Mass Media with Professor Harris. I am heavily addicted to reality television, so to learn a sociological analysis of all of those series was really eye-opening, and she’s hilarious which made the course a lot of fun!

Favorite place on campus: My room! I have all the comforts I need there, and I would be happy spending endless hours in there.

Personal motto: Well-begun is half done!

Favorite TV show: Anything Bravo and Keeping Up With The Kardashians.

Favorite book: Big Little Lies by Liane Moriarty.

Favorite movie: Harry Potter marathons on Freeform

What is your favorite food? Sushi or brie cheese…close tie.

Ann Monk is a sophomore from Seattle, WA, studying International Relations, Global Islamic Studies, and Arabic at Connecticut College. She hopes to eventually work on education policy for refugees who have been resettled in Europe, but in the mean time, she is busy playing soccer, traveling, eating Indian food, and of course, writing for Her!
