We all love summer, but sometimes, our skin doesn’t! With all the exposure to the sun and the increased humidity, it’s extremely important to be aware to take precautionary measures to protect your body and be the best possible you! We have a few tips to keep in mind as the weather warms up:

Prevent Breakouts: Look for “oil-free” sunscreen and remember that sheer doesn’t always mean oil-free!

Treat Sunburns: “It’s all about getting the inflammation down as soon as possible to curb damage in the skin and to calm redness,” says Patricia Wexler, associate clinical professor of dermatology at Mount Sinai Medical Center. “I soak a facecloth in a bowl of skim milk and ice and apply it to the area for five to ten minutes. I also take aspirin or ibuprofen and apply hydrocortisone cream.”

Get a Glow: Try Jergen’s Natural Glow every day for a week before the start of bikini season for a natural, streak-free glow.

Protect the Pout: Many people ignore their lips in the summer but the delicate skin can be easily damaged. Go for a lip balm with an SPF of 15 for protection and moisture

Don’t Forget the Hair: The sensitive skin on your scalp may not feel burnt, but it can easily get just as red and damaged as any other part of your body. Protect it with a hair sunscreen.

Stay healthy and have a fabulous summer!!
