Campus Cutie: Leah Rosofsky

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Conn Coll chapter.

As a sophomore on SAC, SGA, and theLook, it’s no wonder that this week’s Campus Cutie has limited time to get her laundry done! Her Campus caught up with Leah Rosofsky to talk about her blog, which you can check out at http://unsuresince94.wordpress.com. Read on to learn more about this hilarious Campus Cutie!

Class Year: 2016

Hometown: New Haven, CT

Major: American Studies

Minor: Art

Relationship Status: Single and way too socially anxious to mingle

Extracurricular Activities: SAC, SGA, theLOOK, barista at the Blue Camel, seeing how long I can go without doing my laundry.

Do you have a favorite class or professor you have taken at Conn?

Not surprisingly since it’s my major, Intro to American Studies has been one of my favorite classes so far. The thought of an intro course being enjoyable is disturbing, but Professor Downs served up some AMS realness.

Who is your celebrity crush?

The whole Parks and Recreation cast (except for Jean-Ralphio)

Guilty Pleasure: Aly and AJ’s 2007 album Insomniatic and buying scarves

We have heard a lot of buzz about your blog, what inspired you to have a new “lifestyle”/ challenge every month?

First off, that’s quite the compliment to say there is a “buzz” about my blog, unsuresince94.wordpress.com (#shamelessplug). If anything, there is an accidental soft murmur. I have always been interested in writing but never actively pursued it even though creating a blog has always been a prevalent idea in my mind. I became addicted to a reality TV show on Netflix called 30 Days with Morgan Spurlock (of Super Size Me) as the executive producer. This show definitely inspired me for the idea of my blog. I’m very indecisive and often get bored with mundane routine, so I just channeled these problems into a format for which I could really practice my writing. Also, my blog’s name came before anything else, so I had to figure out something that would fit it.

Which months have been the most challenging this far, and why?

Each month has been difficult in its own way considering how different each challenge is from one another. The month where I had to read a book each week and the month where I was supposed to write everyday were difficult purely due to not having infinite amounts of time, which is a problem I am running (pun intended) into with the current month—working out everyday. Not being able to wear make-up for a month was definitely the most mentally challenging just because I am so self-critical and have my own perception on how I appear/like to appear so altering this definitely took more guts than other months.

Most embarrassing camel moment?

Last year, a couple friends and I found ourselves performing a rendition of the Sharpay/Ryan part of the song “Status Quo” from High School Musical on the second floor balcony of Cro overlooking the entrance late one night after a Cro dance. I wouldn’t say I am extremely embarrassed about this but at the same time I don’t see a reprise happening anytime in the future.

What is your life motto?

“Find your light.”  –Tyra Banks

How do you feel about being this week’s Campus Cutie?

Wait…was I not filling in my LinkedIn profile?

I am a junior at Conn. I started at Conn in January of 2013 spending the first part of my school year in Costa Rica and Panama. I am the Director of Marketing for SAC and I am a memebr of Her Campus Conn Coll.
