Campus Cutie: Daniel Burns

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Conn Coll chapter.

Meet this week’s Campus Cutie, junior Daniel Burns! We are lucky we caught him in-between writing articles for The College Voice, eating Krispy Kreme doughnuts, and heading off to Vietnam for spring semester!  Not only is he a lover of Rom Coms, but his best friend is his six-year-old sister. Come on what could be cuter? Read on to find out Daniel’s favorite foods, books, and more.

Class Year: 2016

Hometown: Alexandria, VA

Major: Government

Minor: History

Extracurricular activities: I am a Staff Writer for The College Voice. I also ran Cross Country/Track for freshmen and sophomore year (I’m taking the year off)

Relationship status: Single

Celeb Crush: Anna Kendrick. She’s a cutie.

What qualities do you look for in a significant other? Girls who are intelligent and quirky really stick out to me. Also, a great smile and eyes will do me in.

Describe your ideal date: Haha…I would have to say I would love to tailgate and go to a Washington Redskins game with her. If we’re talking about a New Lo area date, I’d have to say a nice hike in the woods, followed by dinner and intriguing conversation at Olio, possibly (more like definitely) hitting up Michael’s Dairy afterwards, and finishing up with a movie in my/her room.

Favorite Book: I just casually read The Quiet American by Graham Green, and I have to say that it is probably one of my favorite books that I have read in the past few years.

Favorite Meal: Hush Puppies, Cole Slaw, NC style BBQ, & Iced Tea

Favorite Movie: Casino Royale

Favorite Item of Clothing: Flannel Shirts.

Favorite Musical Group As of Right Now: Bronze Radio Return. They’re from Hartford!

Guilty Pleasure: Krispy Kreme doughnuts or Rom Coms

Spirit Animal: Koala Bear. They sleep up to 20 hours a day.

Place You Most Want to Travel to: Vietnam. I’ll knock that off the bucket list in the spring when I go over with Professor Frasure and Professor Peppard for SATA Vietnam.

Fun Fact: My best friend is my 6-year-old sister. She’s probably one of the coolest kids ever. I make sure to call her 3-4 times a week, and we’ll just talk about school and life.

How do you feel about being Campus Cutie? It is an honor to have such a prestigious title bestowed upon me. I just finished adding it to my résumé.
