If you’re anything like me, you wait all year for the return of the Pumpkin Spice Latte at Starbucks. Unfortunately, if you walk into a Starbucks now, the Christmas decorations are already up, meaning the PSL will be gone again, for a whole year! But it’s still November, and I’m not ready to transition to the Christmas-themed drinks. So, here are my top modified Autumn Starbucks drinks:

1) If you’re still craving some spice, try a Chai Tea Latte.  This tea based drink still has the caffeine, but with less of the syrups and sugars than most of the espresso based drinks. If you want to experiment, try mixing Chai with some White Mocha. The sweetness of the mocha mixes really well with the spicy Chai, in either hot or cold form!

2) The Caramel Apple Spice is an awesome hot drink to get, but have you ever tried it cold? To make a Frap version ask for a cream base Frappuccino with apple juice to the second line, plus some cinnamon dolce flavoring. Ask for it with caramel sauce in and out and some whipped cream. This is a nice change to the hot drinks of the fall.

3) Feely a bit sniffly? Try a Passion Tea with some honey packets on the side. Make sure to specify it’s a hot tea, or else you might end up with the iced version! The fruity flavor makes me feel immensely better when I’m not feeling that great, and the honey always helps with my throat. Don’t forget to take out the tea bag, or else it’ll steep too long!

Don’t be like Kim K—ask for your passion tea hot

4) Dying for some sweetness? Ask for a soy White Mocha with toffee nut syrup and caramel on top. Soy tastes a lot sweeter when it’s steamed, so that helps counteract the bitterness of the espresso. I like to ask for this Kids’ Temp, because otherwise I drink it too fast and can’t taste it from the burns!

These are some of my favorite autumn Starbucks drinks, but don’t be afraid to experiment! Don’t forget to be nice to your baristas and be specific when you order a modified drink.
