Reflections from Abroad: Things I Miss About America

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Columbia Barnard chapter.

I’ve been abroad for a while now, and, as my time here is starting to wind down, I’ve decided to make a list of things I will be glad to get back to even as I’m sad to leave London:

  1. Driving

  2. Taylor Ham, egg, and cheese on a NJ/NY bagel

  3. My cat, Cleo

  4. Hulu

  5. Sinks that do not have a separate faucet for hot and cold water

  6. Direct sunlight

  7. The Beach

  8. Dryers

  9. Grocery stores where you can buy basically everything you need

  10. Polar Cub ice cream (this is a very local to my part of NJ thing)

  11. A 21st birthday soon after I get back

  12. Easy commutes to classes (thanks 600)

  13. My frieeeeeennnnnndddsssss and family

  14. Good water pressure for my showers

  15. My bed!!!
