Britney Spears is back in the spotlight again, and people (and the media) are talking about her latest video "Hold It Against Me." Now don't get me wrong, I love me some Britney, but I was expecting so much more from this video. When I first heard the song on the radio, I fell in love! I was so excited to hear some new music from her, especially because her last couple tries didn't go so well, at least in my opinion anyway. READ MORE

Super Big Mistake at Super Bowl 2011

I've been seeing so many things all over the news, websites and radio stations about how Christina Aguilera messed up some of the words to the national anthem at the 2011 Super Bowl on Sunday. Who cares? So she messed up a line or two? People need to get over this small mishap and realize it wasn't that big of a deal. There are plenty of other more important things going on in the world than this. Not able to have an easy, light senior year...that could be the problem.  Oddly, my 2 1/2 years at Columbia, I'm finally starting to see cute guys and it's the semester I'm to graduate. Funny.  READ MORE

You Better Work! Gagging About Season Three of "Drag Race"

Anybody who knows me knows I am absolutely obsessed with "Rupaul's Drag Race" seasons one and two, and I am extremely ecstatic about season three, and it's only just begun! Hands down I have to give the winners from seasons one and two, Bebe Zahara Benet and Tyra Sanchez, their props because they worked it during their seasons. I became a fan of the show even more last summer when "RuPaul's Drag U" first premiered. This show only made me fall in love with some of my favorite drag queens even more, like Raven, Jujubee, Pandora Boxx, Shannel, Ongina and Morgan McMichaels, to name a few. READ MORE

Are People Oblivious To Surroundings Or Is It Intentional?

Being downtown and around the Columbia College campus, we as college students are constantly approached by homeless people on the streets and those who might be looking for spare change or food. In this economy, we might think it's every man or woman for himself or herself, and nobody really has it easy. Times are hard and life is rough. It seems like nobody has anything to spare even though we are supposedly coming out of a recent recession. You'd think the few things we have left to give (if money or food isn't reasonable) would be kindness and generosity. That's sadly not the case. READ MORE
