Ten Years LaterBy April 20, 2012 - 12:16pm Recently, I've been reading the latest book of the Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants series. The book fast forwards ten years later in the main characters lives. As they are all in totally different places, it makes me think where I will be in ten years. What will have changed? What will still be the same? Even as a soon-to-be college graduate, questions about the future pop into my head pretty often. READ MORE |

HC Music Review: "Laserlight," Jessie J feat. David Guetta, UMG 2012By April 19, 2012 - 10:46am “Seems like everybody’s got a price/I wonder how they sleep at night/when the sale comes first and the truth comes second…” Jessie J sang in January of 2011. Listening to the songstress’ “Price Tag” single after hearing her new single “Laserlight {ft. David Guetta)” is nothing but hypocrisy at its finest. READ MORE |

The Benefits of PinterestBy April 13, 2012 - 6:00am During Spring Break I had a lot of time on my hands. Well, I allowed myself to have a lot of free time. Anyway, I decided to catch up with my Pinterest account. I’ve had it for a while, but I avoided it during school because it was so easy to get distracted with it. While I was on the website I found a plethora of recipes, style ideas, craft ideas and nail designs to try out that I never would have thought of. READ MORE |

HC Music Review: "Boyfriend," Justin Bieber, Def Jam Recordings, 2012By April 12, 2012 - 10:04am Timberlake’s hip hop heartthrob status has questionably been replaced: there is a new Justin in town. And he’s cute, talented, and officially 18. Teen pop sensation Justin Bieber’s newly released song “Boyfriend” is a kitschy yet catchy R&B attempt that proves puberty has finally knocked on his door. I Do: Lovingly Committed to the InternetBy April 12, 2012 - 9:42am I vividly remember first getting my Facebook account. It was a few days after I had graduated from the 8th grade, and as an incoming freshman, I was finally allowed to use the sacred site. My sister (already a senior in high school) sat me down at the family’s desktop computer and created my account, doing all the work for me, acting as the seasoned veteran she was. I remember being so happy to have a page of my own; I didn’t even care what she was writing under the “about me” section. I would come home every day after school and hours of rehearsals, utterly exhausted but excited to check the activity that had occurred on Facebook while I had been gone during the day.... |

Chicago Summers Bring Heat...And ViolenceBy April 10, 2012 - 9:43am The true meaning of Easter is celebrating the resurrection of Jesus and how he shed his blood to pay for the mountains of debt we couldn’t bear to repay. However, the city of Chicago had other plans. READ MORE |

HC Music Video Review: Katy Perry “Part Of Me (Music Video),” Sony EMI Recordings 2012By April 5, 2012 - 6:00am The last person we would guess to be holding an M16 rifle while wearing (unflattering) camouflage would be cupcake-pop-princess Katy Perry. In her latest music video, the “California-Girl” ditches the blue wig for a boy cut and stands alongside actual US Marines, making a statement that women can be strong without a man. What a concept!
