Working it Outside

Clothes are quickly shedding as the temperatures continue to steadily rise and skin is becoming a part of everyone’s daily wardrobe. Because of this, and because of the incredible weather we’ve been graced with this early in the year, there is no excuse not to get out and about and get your body moving a bit.  The best part about the unusually warm weather that we’re experiencing right now is seeing tons of people getting outside and exercising. Whether it’s a jog through Grant Park, a bike ride on the lakefront, or even yoga on the beach, there are so many different options when it comes to shaking off that “icky” wintery slump we’ve all been stuck in for the past few months.   READ MORE

Keeping Your Faith

I am a Christian. That is something I don’t hear too often on Columbia’s campus. So, you can imagine that when a conversation about religion comes up anywhere on campus--nothing good comes from it. I know for me, when I was an underclassmen it was pretty intimidating because I felt like I was the only Christian around and didn’t know what to say.  There ended up being some things that definitely helped me keep my faith during my time here at Columbia and made me more comfortable with my faith. The Last Semester of College
