Jennifer Lawrence is one of the most brilliant actresses out there, she won her first Oscar at 23 years old! I’m not proclaiming that she can out-act the greats like Meryl Streep or Sally Field, (although she could probably give them a run for their money, she did win best actress after all), but what makes her great is her personality that makes every teen/twenty year old girl want to be her best friend. She is relatable, funny, and you can tell how much she just does not care about the Hollywood image. Let’s break it down what makes J-Law so great!
She Knows How to Have Fun, but Without Reaching a Lindsay Lohan Level
Jennifer is honestly out of place in the hectic, Hollywood party scene. She has repeatedly stated that she loves spending her nights at home with no pants or bra watching movies with her friends. It’s not because she doesn’t know how to have fun, she would just rather do that and hang out with her friends.
You could actually borrow her clothes
Jen is actually a healthy size. She’s not that disgusting Hollywood skinny that is so unrealistic because all you can eat is air to be that thin. She’s even stated that she is considered obese in Hollywood, but she doesn’t care because she wants to be a role model to young girls. She proves that you don’t have to be that skinny to be beautiful. She says how much she loves food and even splurging at times. Don’t worry she gets even better.
She’s Freaking Hilarious
During interviews, most Hollywood stars try to say conventional answers that are exactly what their manager told them to say. Jen’s manager either lets her go or doesn’t have any control because the girl says whatever she wants and it’s always funny. The whole time on the Oscar red carpet she told every reporter how hungry she was and how she was hoping they had food, which is almost unheard of with actresses. The girl pulled off THE most graceful fall ever recorded at the Oscars, and she was willing to joke about it on stage. She will gladly embarrass herself and laugh at herself, and it’s easy to admire anyone who will do that. She acted just like any one of us would after meeting Jack Nicholson at the Oscars, she didn’t try to put up a “cool” front. She is also very beautiful, but it’s not the type of beautiful that makes you feel ugly. It’s a very appreciated beauty, and she’s also a great role model because she never claims to be perfect because no one is.
Every girl instantly falls in love with Jennifer Lawrence, and can relate to her life- minus the Oscars and designer clothes. She is the type of actress young women can look up to and makes her audience root for her to succeed. She doesn’t demand attention, which is why she gets so much of it. J-Law is someone every girl in their twenties would love to be best friends with.
