Shoes Every Clemson Girl Needs in Her Closet

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Clemson chapter.

“Give a girl the right shoes and she can conquer the world.” – Marilyn Monroe

1. Flip-flops

Flip-flops are perfect for walking around your dorm, going to the dining hall, or heading to Y Beach. They don’t need to be fancy, but you will definitely want them when the weather gets warmer.

2. Sneakers

This might seem kind of obvious, but sneakers are super important for any college student. Your feet will thank you when you have to walk across campus for the third time in one day. Sneakers are also needed for those workouts at Fike or weekend hikes or labs.

3. Nude Heels

I got my first pair of nude heels in eighth grade, and I still have them in my closet until this day because they go with EVERYTHING! Formals, fancy dinners with friends, business events: you will definitely get your money’s worth. Also, they will complement both our school colors!

4. Cowboy Boots

Yes, you can dress them for game day, but you can also dress them down with jeans. A sturdy pair of cowboy boots can be empowering.

5. Sandals

For when you want to be a little dressier than flip-flops but more casual than heels, sandals are your pick and a necessity in your closet. There are also so many different styles of sandals to choose from. You are bound to find a pair that speaks to your personal style.

6. Rain Boots

This are a must-have for any college student because you never know when you’ll be surprised with a week of rain. In high school, you could just stay in one building all day. This doesn’t exactly work when you have to book it across campus in 15 minutes to get to your next class.
